Norfolk may not be the most accessible county in the country, and we are definitely streets ahead when it comes to economising on signposts, but is that what makes it so special?
Perhaps we might one day win an award for being the last county in England to have a motorway? But looking on the bright side, at least the rabbit population is safe for a little longer.
On the other hand we can boast an International Airport (a joy to use – it’s so civilised!), a Railway link to London in less than two hours (well, that’s what the timetable says!) and did I hear a rumour that Gt. Yarmouth may eventually have a Ferry Terminal?
Talking of trains, did you know that Norfolk has the longest narrow gauge railway in the World? If you have a couple of hours to spare, then head for the Walsingham/Wells Railway, where in summertime you can see an abundance of beautiful butterflies on the embankments as you chug along – so nostalgic!...
